About

Our Story

With humble beginnings in 1974 as the Pella, IA based XL-800 Distribution Company, the company started by selling only four products in limited markets throughout the Midwest. In 1978, the company was purchased by Dennis and Donna Oldorf, who happened to see an ad in the Wall Street Journal listing the small operation for sale. The couple, originally from Iowa, moved the company headquarters to Cedar Rapids and hired one part-time employee. For the next 27 years under the leadership of Dennis Oldorf, the organization became known as Lil’ Drug Store Products.

Chris and Suzy DeWolf purchased Lil’ Drug Store in 2005 and dramatically diversified the business even further, distinguishing between wholesale and consumer operations, adding a service division, and expanding the company’s manufacturing role.
